Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
This was a ticket booth in an abandoned water park my friend Jon and I found in the Mojave in California. Super awesome shooting area but not even sure if it's still standing. I found the juxtaposition between the abandoned ruins and the innocence of the little girl to be striking and worth capturing.
About Spencer Hughes
I have been in love with photography since the glory days of Kodachrome using my classic Kodak 110 camera as a child. Born and raised in San Francisco, I was spoiled with such incredible scenery and subjects--from the concrete jungle of downtown to the majestic redwoods of Muir Woods, from the crashing ocean waves to the ghostly bunkers of World War II. Photography is a sweet, glorious, joy filled adventure for me. It is where I find complete peace and zen.
